My name is Martha Lopez, I am a professional photographer, Content Creator and Journalist born in Bogota, Colombia. I am currently based in Toronto, Canada pursuing my dreams as an artist. Since I was very little, I developed a passion for communications, visual arts and storytelling; I love the fact that I am able to share stories and capture unique moments through my camera.
My story as a photographer is short but it is still writing itself. In 2009 I change from a regular high school to a one with audiovisual emphasis. From that point, I started to develop skills I honestly did not know I had, especially related to editing, recording video and taking photographs.
After getting my degree in Social communications and journalism, in 2018, I decided to move to Canada with the purpose of exploring my creativity and becoming a professional photographer. I love photographing people, products, and places. I think there are so many different ways to tell stories and innovate through this amazing art.This year I had the fortune to won an award with CAPIC National in the photography category with one of my portraits and I have been published in magazines such as PhotoEd Magazine.
Whenever I am not working I am creating creative content for myself and probably lifting some weights around in the gym or at home! This is my story but I cannot wait to get in touch with you and hear yours!
